Briana, an 11-year-old leukemia patient whose love for Justin Bieber led to a successful online campaign for the two to meet, has died.
The “Justin for Briana” Facebook page announced the sad news on Sunday.
“Our beautiful Briana is now in heaven. Our sweet angel was such an inspiration. She never stopped believing,” read the statement. “Our hearts are shattered… Briana Tejeda Ü you’ll be forever missed.”
Bieber addressed the death on Monday.
He tweeted, “Just got news about little Briana. I was honored to meet her. I know she is up in heaven smiling. #ripBriana #love.”
Last year, as Briana continued to undergo treatment, The Biebs sent her video shootouts (see below).
For all the negative stories about him in the media, The Biebs has done some pretty great things for his young and ailing fans.
