Joy Behar is leaving “The View.”
She has been a co-host on the long-running daytime show since 1997.
Behar has decided not to renew her contract when it runs out in August.
The comedian is the last remaining original cast member besides creator Barbara Walters, with whom Behar initially alternated as the show’s fourth panelist before becoming a full-time co-host during the first season.
Her departure was first confirmed by Deadline.
No official replacement has been named.
