‘Happy Endings’ Duo Ink Overall Deal With Universal Television

Universal Television is bulking up its comedy roster.

Brian Bradley and Steven Cragg have signed a two-year overall deal with the studio, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Under the pact -- which kicks off in June -- Bradley and Cragg will develop new projects for the studio. The duo, under their overall deal with ABC Studios, most recently served as consulting producers on ABC's Happy Endings. Their credits also include Scrubs and the ABC John Leguizamo pilot Kings of Van Nuys, which failed to move forward.

"Brian and Steven are experienced, talented showrunners and we look forward to making their next show through Universal TV," Universal Television exec vp Bela Bajaria said.

Bradley, repped by UTA and Hirsch Wallerstein, started his career working as a writer on MadTV. For his part, Cragg started as a writer on Saturday Night Live before seguing to MadTV. He's repped by Paradigm and Felker Toczek.

At the studio, Bradley and Cragg join Parks and Recreation's Mike SchurRoseanne Barr, 30 Rock's Jack Burditt, Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin, Eva LongoriaBlair Underwood, Community's Chris McKenna, Friday Night Lights' David Hudgins and Sean Hayes, among others.
