Atlanta police have issued an arrest warrant for Gucci Mane.

The rapper is accused of assaulting a soldier who tried to take a picture with him.

According to local reports, the incident took place last Friday at the club Harlem Nights, after the man (identified as James) approached a security guard in the VIP section and asked if Mane would be willing to pose with him.

Mane allegedly hit him in the head with a champagne bottle.

James, who serves in the Army and returned from Afghanistan last October, told WSBTV he was out celebrating his birthday when things went awry.

He says he told the security guard, ”I’m in the military. I wanted to get a picture with Gucci Mane, is it OK?”

“I was speaking to the security guard, and Gucci Mane hit me in the head with a bottle,” alleges the soldier.

He adds, ”And as I looked at him in the shock of why, one of his friends hit me in the side of my face.”

James was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he received 10 stitches.

The Atlanta Police Department now has an active warrant for Mane for aggravated assault.
