Darius Rucker Enlists ‘Duck Dynasty’ Stars for New Music Video

The Duck Dynasty clan may not know who Morrissey is, but they’re getting into the music scene with a little help from country singer Darius Rucker.

The former Hootie and the Blowfish frontman called on the Robertson family, including Jase, Korie, Sadie, Si and Willie, to appear in his new music video for “Wagon Wheel,” which began shooting this week in Nashville, Tenn. Charles Kelley of Lady Antebellum, who sings background vocals alongside bandmates Dave Haywood and Hillary Scott, also appears in the clip.

“My wife came up with the idea to have the Duck Dynasty guys in the ‘Wagon Wheel’ music video, and I thought we had no chance because they’re so busy so I never even said it out loud,” said Rucker. “Thank God she called my manager because the DD folks took this video to a whole new level! Big thanks to them and Charles… It was a good time for sure, and I can’t wait to see how the video turns out!”

No word on what role the A&E stars play in Rucker’s video, but the Ketch Secur-penned song is based on a sketch by Bob Dylan and will be included in Rucker’s forthcoming album, True Believers, due out this spring.

True Believers will be Rucker’s third solo country album, following Learn to Live and Charleston, SC 1966. In October, Rucker was invited to join the historic Grand Ole Opry membership by Brad Paisley.
