"The Bible"
The Bible is still a force to be reckoned with -- though not as much as it was during its premiere.
History's Sunday broadcast of the Mark Burnett-Roma Downey miniseries averaged 10.8 million viewers, dropping roughly 18 percent from last week's 13.1 million haul. Handsome retention aside, it was not enough to hold back AMC's The Walking Dead. The drama was up a tick to pull 11.46 million viewers at 9 p.m.
In the adults 18-49 demo, it was still no contest. The Walking Dead's steady 5.7 rating topped all broadcasts on cable and broadcast for the night -- and for the week. The Bible dipped from a 3.3 rating to a 2.5 rating.
Vikings also saw a post-premiere drop. History's scripted original averaged 4.6 million viewers and a 1.3 rating with adults 1849, down from last week's 6.2 million and 2.0 rating.
Joining the cable lineup on Sunday night, and facing Vikings head-to-head, was the sophomore premiere of Lifetime's The Client List. The Jennifer Love Hewitt starrer averaged 2.2 million viewers, 600,000 shy of its series premiere last year. In the adults 18-49 demo, it averaged a 0.9 rating.
