‘Burn Notice’ Taps Adrian Pasdar for Major Recurring Role (Exclusive)

Burn Notice is adding a hero.

Heroes and Political Animals alum Adrian Pasdar has joined the cast of the USA Network spy drama's seventh season in a major recurring role, The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively.

He will play Randall Burke, a savvy, dangerous and unpredictable former special ops soldier who is now suspected of running a freelance terrorist ring. A charismatic wild card, he oozes danger and courage. If you're on his good side, he'll show you the time of your life. If you're on his bad side, he'll probably want to kill you.

Pasdar joins previously announced Jack Coleman (Heroes, The Office), Stephen Martines (The Vampire Diaries, The Closer) and Nick Taraby (Spartacus: War of the Damned) in the new season.

Season seven, which will include the 100th episode of Burn Notice, will unravel the intricacies of the mysterious deal Michael (Jeffrey Donovan) made in the season finale. The deal pushes Michael into new territories that bring him face to face with formidable friends and foes from his past. As the repercussions of the deal become increasingly dangerous and complex, Michael will enlist the help of Fiona (Gabrielle Anwar), Sam (Bruce Campbell) and Jesse (Coby Bell). Sharon Gless co-stars.

Matt Nix created Burn Notice and executive produces, along with Mikkel Bondesen, Alfredo Barrios, Craig O'Neil, Ben Watkins and Terry Miller. Fox TV Studios and Farik Entertainment produce.

Pasdar, who also recurs on ABC Family's The Lying Game, is repped by ICM Partners and Fidelity Management.

Burn Notice returns for season seven this summer.
