25 Forgotten Walt Disney Read-Along Book And Records

Sure you had Sleeping Beauty and Peter Pan , but Disney published some other titles you may have forgotten about.

Walt Disney Read-Along Book and Records were first released in 1965. Each book ran 24 pages and included a 7 inch record of a narrator who read the story.

Walt Disney Read-Along Book and Records were first released in 1965. Each book ran 24 pages and included a 7 inch record of a narrator who read the story.

The books were typically adaptations of popular Disney movies, cartoons, and sometimes titles based on non-Disney properties.

The records included dialogue, sounds and songs from the movies or cartoons. But, the most memorable sound was Tinkerbell's chimes, the signal for the reader to turn the page.

The records were produced until about 1986, when they were completely replaced by cassettes
