The 2013 Film Independent Spirit Awards are handed out on Saturday, one day before many of the same movies and performers are honored at the Academy Awards.
Andy Samberg hosts the event, which may be lower-key than the Oscars but brings some of Hollywood’s biggest names together, under a tent on the beach in Santa Monica, California.
