Dancing with the stars, Oscars-style! Seth MacFarlane kicked off the 2013 Academy Awards on Sunday, Feb. 24, with a little fancy footwork and some help from two of Hollywood's hottest celebs -- Channing Tatum and Charlize Theron.

After an opening monologue that included good-natured digs at Chris Brown, Ben Affleck, and Daniel Day-Lewis, the Family Guy creator launched into a bit with William Shatner, which segued into one of the night's many musical numbers. As MacFarlane crooned Frank Sinatra's "The Way You Look Tonight," Tatum, 32, and Theron, 37, performed a choreographed ballroom dance, a la Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, complete with lifts, leaps, and twirls galore.

Oscar-winner Theron, looking ever so graceful in a floaty chiffon dress, was a worthy partner for Tatum, who got his big break in the dance flick Step Up with his now-pregnant wife, Jenna Dewan-Tatum. More recently, the actor showed off his smooth moves in the film Magic Mike, based on his early experiences as a male stripper.
Tatum's proudest accomplishment, however, is his baby-to-be with Dewan-Tatum. Earlier in the night, he gushed to Ryan Seacrest that the little bundle of joy was his "greatest production yet." The happy couple announced their news in December.
