Krysten Ritter
Three weeks after ABC lowered the ax on Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23, star Krysten Ritter has found her next gig.
The actress has been tapped to star in NBC's adaptation of Leslye Headland's play Assistance, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

The female-fronted comedy revolves around Nora, an assistant who attempts to find balance in her life while juggling the demands of a larger-than-life boss. The project is described as a fast-moving comedy centered on an idealistic "working girl" assistant who is pulled between her colleague ("work husband") and her real-life fiance while trying to manage a demanding (translation: crazy) boss.
Ritter will play Nora, a magnetic, hyperactive workaholic with a sex appeal directly proportional to her anxiety level. Having fallen in love with moviemaking thanks to a Jonathan Demme film, she's wanted to produce films since she was a kid, and now she's the harried personal assistant to Daniel Weisinger, who expects her to be on call all day and night.

Bachelorette's Headland will pen the script and executive produce Universal Television's single-camera comedy alongside Will Ferrell, Adam McKay, Chris Henchy and Owen Burke.
In addition to starring for two seasons as the titular bitch in Apartment 23, Ritter's credits include Shopaholic, Breaking Bad and 27 Dresses. The writer-actress also penned the screenplay for the 2011 feature Life Happens. MTV recently passed on her pilot, Cassandra French's Finishing School For Boys. She's repped by WME, Group Entertainment, Sanders Armstrong and Bloom Hergott.
