Zack Snyder NOT Doing Star Wars Movie

Is Zack Snyder set to direct a Star Wars movie?

On Monday, rumors swirled after a Vulture report claimed the Man of Steel director was developing a project for Lucasfilm set in the Star Wars world, although not as part of the franchise’s upcoming trilogy.

The supposed movie was said to be a Jedi epic “loosely based on Akira Kurosawa’s 1954 classic Seven Samurai.”

News of the reported project quickly (and obviously) made waves online.

But it’s not true.

A rep for Snyder tells Gossip Cop, “While he is super flattered because he is a huge fan, Zack is not involved in any way with the new Star Wars. He is currently in post on his two films, Man of Steel and 300: Battle of Artemisia.

Snyder is not developing the planned Episode VII, Episode VIII, or Episode IX, nor is he working on an offshoot Star Wars project.
