Ben Affleck won for Best Director at the Golden Globes on Sunday, days after being snubbed for an Academy Award nomination in the category.
The Argo director gave a heartfelt, charming, and very grateful speech for the honor.
Looking stunned and thrilled at his triumph, Affleck said, “Look, I don’t care what the award is, when they put your name next to the names that [presenter Halle Berry] just read off, it’s an extraordinary thing in your life.
“These nominees are exceptional talents,” continued Affleck. “I truly to God never thought I would be in the same breath as them.”
