TV Ratings: Steady ‘Idol’ Leads, ‘Neighbors’ and ‘Suburgatory’ Dip After Repeats

American Idol, even with last Wednesday's Fast National rating and down just a tenth from its final, brought Fox a win on Wednesday night. The two-hour auditions show averaged a 5.4 rating with adults 18-49 and 15.6 million viewers.

Readying for Sunday's big game, CBS aired Super Bowl's Greatest Commercials (2.1 adults), which was up a tenth of a point from last year. Encores of Criminal Minds and CSI finished the night, giving the network an average 1.8 rating with adults 18-49 and 8.1 million viewers.

Original episodes of Whitney (1.3 adults) and Guys With Kids (1.1 adults) were both down from their last episodes three weeks ago, a respective one and two tenths of a point. Law & Order: SVU (1.7 adults) was down four tenths of a point. Chicago Fire (2.0 adults), down two tenths, was still the 10 p.m. hour's top performer. NBC averaged a 1.6 rating with adults 18-49 and 5.6 million viewers.

ABC was mostly in repeats, sandwiching new episodes of The Neighbors and Suburgatory in between encores of The Middle, Modern Family and Nashville. The Neighbors (1.6 adults) was down two tenths from its last original, while Suburgatory (1.8 adults) dropped four tenths. Both tied series lows. The network averaged a 1.5 rating with adults 18-49 and 4.6 million viewers.

Arrow (0.9 adults) was off two tenths from the previous outing ahead of an even Supernatural (0.9 adults). The CW averaged a 0.9 rating in the demo and 2.6 million viewers.

Univision averaged a 1.4 rating with adults 18-49 and 3.6 million viewers.
