CBS topped Tuesday night among the key demo (2.7 rating adults 18-49) and total viewers (16.5 million) with new outings from its trio of dramas. NCIS (3.5 adults) was up six percent from the last original, with NCIS: LA (3.0 adults) and Vegas (1.6 adults) both even. NCIS and NCIS: LA each hit season highs among total viewers, with 20.87 and 17.8 million, respectively.

NBC had two new episodes of Betty White's Off Their Rockers (1.5 and 1.8 adults). While both episodes were down double digits from last winter's premieres, those did not air in the first hour of primetime. Go On (1.5 adults) and The New Normal (1.3 adults) both took expected spills without a lead from the Voice. The comedies were down 38 and 24 percent, respectively. Parenthood (1.9 adults) was up two tenths of a point from last week. The network averaged a 1.7 rating with 18-49-ers and 4.2 million viewers.
Also back from the holiday hiatus, Fox's Tuesday comedy block aired all originals to the tune of a 1.6 adults rating and 3.2 million viewers. Raising Hope (1.7 adults) started the night even with its last outing, while Ben and Kate (1.2 adults) was up a tenth of a point. New Girl (2.0 adults), the night's top comedy, was even -- as was The Mindy Project (1.5 adults).
Encores of Modern Family and The Middle led into a new outing from Happy Endings (1.4 adults rating) on ABC. The episode was up a tenth of a point from its last Tuesday original and up 40 percent from Sunday. Don't Trust the B---- in Apt. 23 (1.1 adults rating), also up from Sunday, was even with its last Tuesday. Private Practice (1.2 adults rating) was off a tenth of a point from its last original. ABC averaged a 1.3 adults rating and 4.2 million viewers.
Another burn-off episode of Emily Owens, M.D. posted a 0.3 adults rating on The CW, giving the network an average 0.3 adults rating a 942,000 viewers for the night.
Univision averaged a 1.6 rating with adults 18-49 and 3.9 million viewers.
