Making a joke about a testicular cancer survivor having a "little testicle" may be considered poor form in some circles.
But with part one of Lance Armstrong’s much-anticipated Oprah Winfrey interview airing Thursday, the hosts of ABC’s The View were embroiled in a discussion about the effects performance-enhancing drugs might have had on the cyclist’s body.
“When you’ve had steroids, do your testicles shrink?” Joy Behar asked, joking. “Wouldn’t that be the tip-off?”

Whoopi Goldberg wondered if there was a link between Armstrong’s multiple battles with cancer and his use of performance-enhancing drugs. “The question is do the steroids cause cancer,” Goldberg said. “If he was doing it for the thousand years they say he was doing it for, it’s quite possible."
Barbara Walters didn’t get behind Goldberg’s theory, saying “we need to be careful” when suggesting a link between steroid use and cancer. Sherri Shepherd concurred, saying: “Stop suggesting that little-testicle people are that way because of steroids.”

The first part of Oprah’s sit-down with Armstrong airs Thursday from 9 to 10:30 p.m. ET on OWN. The second part airs at 9 p.m. The interview will also be streamed online at those times.
During the conversation, which was taped over two-and-a-half hours in Austin Monday, Armstrong confirmed he won his Tour de France titles while using performance-enhancing drugs.
