“There was no kissing under the mistletoe this year for Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart,” reports In Touch.

According to the magazine, the couple “got into an explosive fight” just days before Christmas, which Stewart and Pattinson had supposedly planned to spend together in London.

“At the last minute, Kristen announced that she wanted to take her mom to the U.K.,” says an In Touch insider. “Rob was annoyed because this trip was supposed to be about her spending more time with his family.”

Pattinson’s relatives are “wary” of Stewart, says the tab’s source.

The actor “ended up going alone,” the supposed insider tells In Touch, which goes on to report that Pattinson was spotted with friends at a London pub on Christmas Eve.

This is all utterly fascinating — especially what In Touch leaves out of the story.

Like the fact that Stewart flew to London immediately after Christmas and spent the New Year’s holiday with Pattinson.

Somehow that detail didn’t find a way into the tabloid’s bogus “big fight” narrative.

But that’s what we’ve come to expect from the magazine, which has published a slew of speculative, false stories about Stewart and Pattinson in recent months, apparently undeterred by reality and aided by totally clueless “sources.”

In Touch’s reckless rumor peddling would embarrass any outlet that placed a higher premium on credibility than sensationalism.

But the magazine seems happy to listen to the wrong people and keep pumping out false stories.

Time has proven the publication wrong over and over again, and this latest alleged “big fight” between Stewart and Pattinson over Christmas is just the newest example of the tab’s buffoonish bumbling.

A source close to the situation tells Gossip Cop the In Touch report is “completely false.”
