Photos have surfaced purporting to show Justin Bieber smoking marijuana at a party in a hotel room on January 2.
TMZ published the three pictures late Friday, alleging that The Biebs and friends including Lil Twist lit joints at the gathering in Newport Beach the day after a paparazzo was killed trying to snap images of Bieber’s Ferrari — reportedly, in part, because he believed he’d seen the singer smoking weed.
In the party pictures (here), Bieber is seen holding what could be what TMZ calls a “smoldering blunt,” but the images are not conclusive.
Shortly after the photos surfaced, Bieber began tweeting what many outlets have interpreted as a response to the photos — although the pop star does not refer directly to the rumored marijuana use.
Echoing the language he’d used in previous Twitter missives, Bieber wrote, “Everyday growing and learning. trying to be better. u get knocked down, u get up.”
“Back on tour tomorrow. ready to see u all smile. time to do what im supposed to be doing. performing,” he continued.
Later, Bieber added, “I see all of u. i hear all of u. i never want to let any of you down. i love u. and..thank u. #beliebers.”
“Like i said…2013…new challenges. new doubters…Im ready,” continued Bieber. “We are ready. see u all tomorrow and everyday after that. #BELIEVEtour.”
