Britney Spears recently “sobbed to fellow ‘X Factor’ judge Demi Lovato that she fears network execs will fire her from the $15 million gig,” claims the National Enquirer.
According to a supposed source for the tab, “Britney was in Demi’s dressing room, crying her eyes out because she’s cracking under the strain of producers constantly coaching her on how to be more outgoing, talkative and constructive on-camera.”
The magazine’s alleged insider then quotes Spears as saying, “They hate me,” and notes that “she knows she won’t be back next season.”
Whenever Spears “sees the execs huddling and talking in hushed tones, she thinks they’re conspiring to get rid of her.”
This tale, of course, is from the same outlet that reported Spears was all set to elope in Hawaii last February (WRONG); that her little boys smoke, swear and routinely set fires (UNTRUE); that she’s jealous of Simon Cowell’s reported girlfriend Carmen Electra (BS); and that she’s “calling off” her wedding because her fiance Jason Trawick is “faking” the romance (INACCURATE).
So, is this latest Spears story true?
A source close to the show’s production tells Gossip Cop it’s pure “garbage.”
