‘Nashville’ Books ‘Jane By Design’s’ David Clayton Rogers (Exclusive)

David Clayton Rogers is going country.

The former Jane By Design co-star has booked a role on ABC's freshman country music drama Nashville, The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively.

On the Connie Britton starrer, Rogers will guest star as an ex-con who made the wrong choices in his young life. His story line will cross with aspiring singer-songwriter Gunnar (Sam Palladio) and the episode will air in January or February.

Rogers most recently played Ben on ABC Family's Jane By Design, which was canceled at the youth-skewing network in August after one season.

He is repped by Innovative and Cohn/Torgan, he also co-starred opposite Mark Webber in the indie feature Uncanny.

Nashville returns from its midseason hiatus in 2013.
