Producer Al Jean told Entertainment Weekly that MacFarlane will play a married man who pursues Marge Simpson in an episode titled "Dangers on a Train."

Incidentally, MacFarlane previously lent his voice Futurama, another animated comedy from The Simpsons creator Matt Groening. And Dan Castellaneta, who voices Homer Simpson, has guest-starred on Family Guy, which also airs on Fox.

In addition to Family Guy, MacFarlane created and voices characters in American Dad and The Cleveland Show. He also directed and co-wrote the summer box-office hit Ted.
