We just had to ask: Is Jason Brock, finalist on season two of The X Factor and the man dubbed “Mr. Entertainment,” a fan of American Idol grad Adam Lambert?

“I am an Adam Lambert fan!” said the San Francisco native at the X Factor Top 12 party held at Beverly Hills’ SLS Hotel on Monday night, where all the competing acts were joined by their mentors on the red carpet (Simon Cowell called out sick). Although Brock’s not quite in Glambert territory, since he admits only having “heard a little” of Lambert’s latest album, Trespassing, he certainly seemed primed to dive deeper into his iPod.

As for the inevitable comparisons, not just with similarity in sound but in showmanship, Brock is perplexed by it. “People will say, ‘Are you trying to be Adam Lambert?’ And I’m, like, ‘No, I’m just gay, does that mean we’re the same?’”

The “Over 25” contender, who sang Jennifer Lopez’s “Dance Again” for X Factor’s first live shows, went on to say that he does see some similarities to Lambert, but also a lot of difference. “I feel like I have my own style,” he added.

That’s not to say that Mr. Entertainment would shy away from communicating with the “For Your Entertainment” star. “I hope [Adam reaches out], because I wonder if he loves me or hates me,” Brock cracked, then invited THR.com to run photos of the two of them side-by-side. “Like wearing the same outfit? And then Joan Rivers can put us on ‘Bitch Stole My Look.’”
