A special Wednesday outing of The Voice helped NBC win the night among adults 18-49, driving freshman drama Chicago Fire to its best ratings of the season in the process. The two-hour live competition delivered a 3.7 rating among adults 18-49, down from the show's regularly scheduled "Playoff" episodes on Monday (down 18 percent) and last Tuesday (down 20 percent). It was still good news for Chicago Fire, though. The drama leaped 44 percent to its strongest showing ever, a 2.3 among adults 18-49. It still marked a steady drop from its lead but tied the hour with CSI. NBC averaged a 3.2 rating with adults 18-49 and 9.3 million viewers.
