TV Ratings: ‘Vegas’ and ‘Private Practice’ Are Tuesday’s Lone Growers

As Thanksgiving approaches, TV usage sees a predictable dip and many series suffered Tuesday night by hitting new lows. CBS emerged in the best shape, with NCIS (3.0 rating with adults 18-49) dropping just a tenth of a point from last week, NCIS: LA (2.8) steady and a new episode of Vegas moving up 13 percent to win its hour with a 1.8 rating in the demo. The network averaged a 2.5 rating with 18-49-ers and 13.9 million viewers.

The Voice (3.3 adults rating) was down from last Tuesday's broadcast by 15 percent. Go On was steady with its recent 2.2 rating in the demo, but The New Normal dropped 11 percent for a new low of a 1.6 rating among adults 18-49. Parenthood also suffered a drop, 16 percent, to a 1.6 rating with 18-49-ers. NBC pulled a 2.3 demo rating and 6.4 million viewers.

With an average 1.5 rating among adults 18-49 and 3.3 million viewers, all Fox shows (except Ben and Kate) were also down week to week. Raising Hope, off just a tenth of a point, pulled a 1.5 rating with 18-49-ers before Ben and Kate's even 1.1. New Girl fell nine percent to a series low of a 2.0 rating among adults 18-49, while The Mindy Project (1.3 adults rating) took a 19 percent hit.

On ABC, the Dancing With the Stars results show was even with last week's 1.9 adults rating. Happy Endings (1.2 adults) and Apt. 23 (0.9 adults) both fell to new lows, dropping one and two tenths of a point respectively. Private Practice joined Vegas as the only other series to grow last night, up a tenth of a point to a 1.2 rating with 18-49-ers. The network averaged a 1.4 rating in the demo and 7 million viewers. (All ABC series were up in total viewers.)

Hart of Dixie dropped a tenth of a point to a 0.5 adults rating, while Emily Owens M.D. was even with the previous week's 0.4. The CW averaged a 0.5 rating in the key demo and 1.2 million viewers.

Univision pulled 1.5 rating among 18-49-ers.
