The carbon fiber mechanical hand is know as the Bebionic3, and is currently undergoing human tests. One lucky recipient was Nigel Ackland. Six years after losing his arm in an accident, Nigel can control his bionic limb with muscle movement from his upper arm.
The Bebionic3 gives him the fine motor control to use a mouse, peel vegetables, and other daily tasks most of us take for granted.
