“Ben Affleck has a crush on Rihanna — and his wife, Jennifer Garner, is understandably irritated,” reports OK!
According to a supposed “insider” for the tabloid, “Jen is really disappointed because she was feeling so comfortable in their marriage.”
The so-called “source” for the mag notes, “They’ve been in a really good place — fighting less, and spending more time with the kids. So Jen was blindsided by Ben being so open about the crush.”
Affleck and Garner were never not in a good place, but OK.
Anyhow, the mag’s source goes on to allege that at the GQ “Men of the Year” event, where both Affleck and Rihanna were being honored, “Ben was following Rihanna like a puppy.”
“He kept trying to think of reasons to talk to her,” tattles the purported “insider,” who adds, “He told her he loved her in Battleship, and he’d love to work with her.”
Yes, because movies like Battleship are certainly what the Argo actor-director is trying to emulate these days.
Regardless, OK! claims, “Friends of Jennifer who were at the party were quick to report back,” quoting the “insider” as saying that Garner is “upset” and “wishes he would keep his crushes to himself.”
Actually, what Garner probably wishes is that the tabloid would keep its nonsensical rumors to itself.
Gossip Cop checked in with an Affleck friend, who tells us the actor spent under 30 minutes at the GQ party, where he did the necessary press and then immediately headed home.
And as for the mag’s claim that he’s “crushing” on Rihanna, another Affleck source tells us it’s “ridiculous.”
Yet another inaccurate tale from OK! gets crushed.
