Earlier in the broadcast, as the hosts promoted Aerosmith’s first-ever live morning TV performance, the band faced the camera and cheerfully announced, “Good Morning, America!”
The inadvertent reference to NBC’s rival breakfast program at ABC led Roker to joke, “No, no! What’s your problem? That’s why they haven’t done morning television! They don’t even know what show they’re on!”

Later, Roker was giving a weekend forecast when Tyler, addressing the concert audience, could be heard yelling, “Thanks for coming out, you crazy f**ks!”
“What did he just say?” asked a stunned Roker, again adding, “That’s why they haven’t done mornings.”
