Live Blog: Obama vs. Romney – Election Night

Ever wonder what happens if the candidates tie in electoral votes? If that happens, the House elects the president with each state getting just one vote to be decided by majority vote of their state delegation. Romeny wins if that happens. VP is selected by the Senate. Biden would win there. Now that would be interesting.

Pundits on the cable and broadcast networks seem to see a rugged path to 271 electoral votes for Romney.

Per NBC, Chris Murphy defeats Linda McMahon for CT senate. Was a tight race; McMahon tried to convince voters she was aligned with Obama int he final days. she is the Republican, self-funded for the most part.

MSNBC: Romney projected winner of Arkansas.

CNN calls Tennessee and Arkansas for Romney

Fox calls Florida senate race for Democrat Nelson over Republican Connie Mack.

Ohio and North Carolina still too close to call...

Donnelly leading Murdock substantially in the Indiana senate race.

So far, shaping up as a good night for Nate Silver. Preelection polls holding up as accurate, so far. Something to watch carefully as the evening goes on.

Rachel Maddow and friends on MSNBC all agreed that if Romney doesn't carry Florida, he's out. Wishful liberal thinking?
