Kelly Clarkson is furious that a magazine in the United Kingdom has misquoted her.
The season one American Idol champion responded to a cover story in the UK Mirror Sunday Celebs insert, which featured a photo of Clarkson with a headline that read: "No one on the planet should be as famous as me."
"I love when people take what you say and twist it to make you sound obnoxious and arrogant," she tweeted on Monday evening.

Among the falsehoods: the lifestyle publication positioned Clarkson as having revealed that she had anorexia, which the Texas native denied.
"I have never had anorexia nor did I ever say 'no one should be as famous as me,'" she wrote. "I said in the interview, when asked about fame, that I have no desire to be as famous as Britney [Spears] or Madonna. I said that kind of fame was too much for any person and that I have experienced a portion of what they deal with and that I didn't handle that well and I'm happy where I'm at in my career. ... nice job Mirror."
After Clarkson spoke her mind, season six winner Jordin Sparks tweeted the original Idol with a jubilant, "Tell em girl!!!!!"

Clarkson appreciated the support, tweeting back, "I just can't stand when people do stuff like that. It drives me bananas. By the way, I just saw Sparkle. Great job!! Loved it!."
