Katie Holmes Ponders ‘Dawson’s Creek’ Reunion on ‘Late Night’ (Video)

Before she was Mrs. Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes was Joey Potter.

Holmes, now single and starring in Broadway in the play Dead Accounts, first became famous on the WB dramedy Dawson's Creek as the bookish teen who initially nursed an unrequited crush on pal Dawson (James Van Der Beek) but eventually fell for his BFF Pacey (Joshua Jackson).

The tangled web of youthful angst and heartbreak also included Michelle Williams and Busy Phillips.

During Holmes' appearance on Thursday's edition of Late Night, Jimmy Fallon could not resist asking about a cast reunion. After all, next spring will mark 10 years since the series ended May 2003 following a six-season run.

"I love everyone from the show ... we have kind of talked about it here and there," Holmes said. "But we're like, 'What do you do'? Because our last episode Michelle's character passed away ... Maybe we'll go on vacation -- that will be fun -- and just film it!"

(Fallon suggested Williams return as a ghost.)

Holmes, who split from Cruise last summer after more than five years of marriage, also said she's spending Thanksgiving with family in Ohio, where every year, they participate in a three-mile run called the "Turkey Trot," invented by Holmes' father.

"There's even a prize, which I haven't won yet," she added.

In the clips below, Holmes weighs in on (possibly) reuniting with Van Der Beek and company, and also talks about her return to the stage in Dead Accounts.
