“Selena Gomez just put her pretty li’l foot down… on Justin Bieber’s ego,” begins a piece in the National Enquirer.
According to the supermarket tab, when Disney hired Gomez “to star in — and exec produce — an upcoming TV movie version of her long-running series, tentatively titled, ‘Untitled Wizards of Waverly Place Special,’” The Biebs “got super-stoked” and “told her he’d co-star in ‘any role!’”
But here’s the “shocker,” says the mag.
The Enquirer claims Gomez “banned” Beiber from the project.
“Selena didn’t miss a beat,” a so-called “insider” tells the tab, saying, “She rejected his idea, telling him his superstar power would detract from the project. Justin was stunned, protesting that his appearance would definitely increase viewership.”
Nice fake-sounding quote.
Anyway, the mag says Disney executives agree with Bieber, and are hoping “Selena will change her mind,” even though so far she’s “standing her ground.”
Ooh, so dramatic… and WRONG.
A rep for Bieber tells Gossip Cop that the tab’s tale is “not true.”
Of course, this is the same outlet that inaccurately reported that Bieber was told to get Botox, and wanted to bottle his own sweat.
