What was going on with Diane Sawyer during ABC News’ election night coverage?
The veteran news anchor seemed a bit off during Tuesday’s broadcast, at least to many viewers who were baffled by her mannerisms, including her slowed speech and fixation on the network’s background music.
Twitter users were especially vocal in their speculation about Sawyer possibly being drunk, with a parody @DrnkDianeSawyer account even set up to post messages like, “hey guys wh o won i fell aslee?p.”
Of course, given the long night of coverage, it’s more likely Sawyer was just a bit tired.
