Bravo is pushing deeper into Atlanta.
In its bid for buzz and viewership among its female demo, the NBCUniversal-owned cable network has ordered two Atlanta-Based series, Married to Medicine and Taking Atlanta, as well as picked up a second season of Atlanta Housewife Kim Zolciak's spin-off Don't Be Tardy For the Wedding.
The latter comes as Zolciak is set to depart Bravo's Real Housewives of Atlanta franchise following the series' Dec. 2 installment. In a teaser for the episode, a pregnant Zolciak argues with the other ladies about going on vacation with them, noting as she shoves the camera: "I'm done with this whole thing."

Tardy's second season, which will likely be renamed Don't Be Tardy..., will focus on Kim and Kroy Biermann in the next phase of their marriage, which involves the demands of their expanding family, purchasing a dream house and a possible adoption. The offshoot is produced by True Entertainment with Steven Weinstock, Glenda Hersh, Lauren Eskelin and Colleen Sands attached as EPs.
For its part, Married to Medicine centers on a group of successful, stylish Atlanta women, comprised of doctors and the wives of doctors. The FremantleMedia North America produced series will capture the full spectrum of their worlds, both as they're delivering babies in Louboutins and as they're rushing off to galas in Buckhead. The effort was developed by Purveyors of Pop with Matt Anderson, Nate Green and Maty Buss serving as executive producers.
The tentatively titled Taking Atlanta follows a group of young, aspiring and ambitious Atlanta locals who are looking to make their mark in the worlds of fashion, music, hospitality and real estate and balance their social lives and tumultuous family situations. The entry hails from NFGTV and Monami Entertainment with Toby Barraud, Stefan Springman and Mona Scott-Young attached as executive producers.
