Stephen Colbert invited Tom Hanks to help give families some affordable Halloween costume ideas on Thursday’s “The Colbert Report,” only to have the Oscar winner (jokingly) hijack the segment for promotion of Cloud Atlas and many of his previous movies.
A series of cute kids showed up in various Hanks character costumes, but the high point came with the surprise appearance of an irate Matt Damon — in Saving Private Ryan gear.
