With its first hour of comedies growing from last week, CBS brought in a win among adults 18-49 (3.1 rating) and total viewers (13.1 million) on Thursday night. Big Bang Theory started off up two tenths of a point to a 4.7 adults rating, the night's strongest across networks, while Two and a Half Men rose 14 percent to a season high of a 4.0 among adults 18-49. Person of Interest (2.8 adults rating) was down seven percent from its last broadcast, while Elementary (2.3 adults rating) fell eight percent.

NFL preemption in ABC's San Francisco affiliate may mean their final numbers could change, but early returns have The Last Resort up six percent to a 1.7 adults rating. Grey's Anatomy (3.3 adults rating) was down 13 percent from its last showing, while Scandal was even with a 2.0 in the demo. ABC averaged a 2.4 with adults 18-49 and 7.7 million viewers.
30 Rock started out NBC's Friday night even with last week's 1.3 adults rating, while Up All Night jumped 27 percent to a 1.4 adults rating. The rest of the network's lineup all saw losses from their last showings two weeks ago. The Office (2.0 adults rating) was down nine percent, Parks & Recreation (1.6 adults rating) was down 16 percent and Rock Center With Brian Williams (0.9 adults rating) was down 10 percent. The network averaged a 1.4 adults rating and 3.5 million viewers.

On the CW, The Vampire Diaries dropped 25 percent from its season opener to a 1.2 rating with adults 18-49. Beauty and the Beast took an even bigger spill in its second outing, dropping 42 percent to a 0.7 rating in the demo. The CW averaged a 1.0 adults rating and 2.4 million viewers for the night.
Univision had a 1.4 adults rating for the night, while Fox, which aired game four of National League Championship Series NLCS, scored a preliminary 1.4 rating with 18-49-ers that will get a boost when time zone adjustments come in.
