“The X Factor” contestant David Correy has reportedly found his birth mother after 25 years — thanks to his appearance on the talent competition show.
When he was first introduced to viewers, Correy talked about praying that “The X Factor” would re-connect him with his biological mom in Brazil, whom he’s never met (video below).
Now, a woman named Luciene Lima reportedly saw the musician’s baby pictures on TV, had a feeling Correy was her child, and contacted local Brazilian media.
While a DNA test has not been performed, the timeline, orphanage details and birth certificate all match, according to TMZ.
The two have not yet met, but TMZ reports that Correy is aware of Lima’s efforts to reach out and eager to meet.
