MediaTakeOut is reporting that the reason Lil Wayne was hospitalized on Thursday night “could have been a drug overdose.”
The facts-challenged webloid notes that the rapper “has been looking a little rough lately,” and goes on to claim that “THE STREETS say that earlier that day Weezy was sippin EXTRA HEAVY on that lean. And that it may have caused the health issues.”
MediaTakeOut writes,”No one knows exactly WHAT it was” that caused Wayne’s hospitalization, but warns him to “try and go easy on that LEAN bruh.”

Well Gossip Cop DOES know “exactly WHAT it was” because we took the time to reach out to Wayne’s rep, rather than spread very serious — and unsubstantiated — speculation.
His management tells us the performer was “treated for a severe migraine and dehydration,” adding that he’s now “at home on doctor mandated rest and will return to work soon.”
As for MediaTakeOut’s “drug overdose” claim, Wayne’s rep tells Gossip Cop exclusively that it is “completely inaccurate.”
