Hurricane Sandy has claimed another TV victim.
ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live! has canceled its Monday night show, which was set to be the first of his five-day homecoming to Brooklyn.

"Due to stupid Hurricane Sandy and in the interest of the safety of our studio audience, Jimmy Kimmel Live! will not broadcast tonight from the Harvey Theatre at Brooklyn Academy of Music," the show's publicist said in a statement. "We are hopeful to be back on the air tomorrow night with Howard Stern, Tracy Morgan and Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings."
On Sunday, the show's reps said that they were working with backup power generators and flying in extra crew to help with any unforseen circumstances. Later in the day, the city suspended outdoor filming permits and Broadway shows shut down, leaving Kimmel and fellow late night hosts Jimmy Fallon and David Letterman in the slim minority of those hoping to weather the storm.
As of early Monday afternoon, Fallon and Letterman had not indicated that they were canceling any shows. They both broadcast in Manhattan, while Kimmel's temporary Brooklyn studio is more difficult for guests to reach, as subway service and bridges have been shut down.
