All three broadcast news programs will expand to an hour Monday evening for coverage of Hurricane Sandy.

Local New York stations have already blown out daytime programming for wall-to-wall coverage of the worst storm to hit the East Coast in nearly a century.
And national news broadcasts will get supersized with NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams, ABC World News with Diane Sawyer and the CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley all offering hour-long editions beginning at 6:30 p.m. with live updates for the West Coast.

Pelley will anchor the Evening News from Allenhurst, N.J., while correspondents will offer coverage from various points along the storm’s path. Sawyer will be in ABC's Upper West Side studio with weather editor Sam Champion in Manhattan's low lying Battery Park neighborhood.
Additionally, CBS News will have a special primetime report on the storm at 10 p.m. ABC’s Nightline will expand to an hour at 11:35 p.m., while Jimmy Kimmel’s show, which was supposed to originate Monday night from the Brooklyn Academy of Music, has been scrapped.
