Fear not, citizens: Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert are returning.
Comedy Central will start up live episodes of The Daily Show and The Colbert Report on Wednesday night, after missing two days of programming due to Hurricane Sandy.
STORY: How Much Sandy is Costing Hollywood
The shows' return comes one night after Jimmy Kimmel Live!, broadcasting from Brooklyn for the week, returned, while Late Show With David Lettermanand Late Night With Jimmy Fallon have stayed on the air during the storm. Both Fallon and Letterman taped their Monday shows without audiences, while Letterman continued to go spectator-free on Tuesday.
New York City is resuming outdoor filming permits on Wednesday as well; production throughout the city on various series were shut down entirely Monday and Tuesday.
It's good timing for Stewart and Colbert to return, too; with less than a week until the election, there are just too many things to skew to miss any more time.
