Brendan Fraser is heading to TV.
The Mummy actor has been tapped to star in TNT's drama pilot Legends, the network announced Thursday.
From Homeland executive producer Howard Gordon, Legends -- which was originally for NBC -- follows a deep-cover operative named Martin Odum, who has an uncanny ability to transform himself into a different person for each job. But his own identity comes into question when a mysterious stranger suggests that Martin isn’t who he thinks he is. Gordon, Jeffrey Nachmanoff (The Day After Tomorrow) and Alexander Cary (Homeland) and Jonathan Levin (Charmed) developed the project based on the book from spy novelist Robert Littell. David Semel will direct and executive produce the Fox 21 entry.

Fraser will play Martin, the complex and conflicted agent and serve as an executive producer on the pilot.
The Crash actor picked up a Screen Actors Guild Award as a member of the Paul Haggis ensemble. His feature credits include Gods and Monsters and The Quiet American. On the small screen, his credits include guest gigs on Scrubs and the telepic Twilight of the Golds. Fraser is repped by CAA and Brillstein Entertainment Partners.
