On Sunday’s “Oprah’s Next Chapter,” Usher broke his silence about his months-long custody battle and the tragic death of his former stepson.

As Gossip Cop reported last month, Usher was awarded primary custody of his two young sons with ex-wife Tameka Foster, who reportedly plans on appealing the ruling.

Usher, who told Oprah he never intends to discuss the situation again, said he believed he and Foster “were friends.”

“She made us enemies in a way that I could never, I could never understand,” explained the singer.

Regarding the ugly custody war that lasted several months, Usher insisted he’s “been a man of integrity throughout the entire process.”

He did admit to being with other women during his separation from Foster, before their divorce became final.

“Towards the end of our marriage I found myself lost, and I just wanted out,” he recalled, going on to add, “I was faithful at heart, but not faithful all the way. Even having a conversation with another woman, period, about matters of your relationship or emotions is, in my opinion, not being faithful.”

Usher denied claims that he never visited his 11-year-old stepson, Kile Glover, in the hospital following Glover’s devastating jet ski accident, and also that he didn’t attend the funeral services.

The singer told Oprah, “It hurts me to hear people speculating that I wasn’t at the funeral. I absolutely was at the funeral. I was at the burial as well.”

Usher teared up as he recalled the memories he shared with Kile, saying, “We cooked together, we laughed, we sang. He loved to sing and dance, he loved to tell jokes.”
