Tom Brokaw was rushed to the hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina on Thursday.
The iconic NBC newsman, in town for the Democratic National Convention, took ill following an appearance on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”
A network spokesperson said in a statement, “On the set of Morning Joe this morning, Tom Brokaw felt light-headed. Out of an abundance of caution, he was taken to a hospital and is being evaluated.”
Brokaw, 72, currently serves as a special correspondent for NBC and has been covering both the Republican and Democratic conventions around the clock in recent days.
