“Is Kristen Stewart moving on with James Franco?” asks RadarOnline in a new (ahem) “exclusive.”
According to the webloid, the pair had a “chance meeting” at the Toronto International Film Festival last week, and “to say [Franco] was enamored with Robert Pattinson’s ex would be an understatement.”
“Kristen and James bumped into each other at the Intercontinental Hotel in Toronto during the film festival and were engaged in conversation for 20 minutes,” reveals a so-called “source” for the site.
The RadarOnline source continues, “There was a lot of flirting and Kristen was overjoyed by the attention she was getting from James, who was gushing over her, saying what a great actress he thinks she is and was full of praise for her latest movie, On the Road.”
The site claims the “smitten” actor tried to set up a dinner date with Stewart, but was “shot down.”
Regardless, continues RadarOnline, Franco is still focused on arranging a “romantic rendezvous when back on home ground.”
Hmm.
This all sounds VERY familiar.
Where have we heard “details” like this before?
Oh, right!
This past weekend, HollywoodLife completely fabricated the exact same story!
HollywoodLife’s bit of “reporting” also had Stewart and Franco supposedly “chatting for about 20 minutes,” with Franco purportedly gushing over Stewart’s acting and trying to score a date.
Of course, HollywoodLife’s fake story claimed the couple’s “flirting” happened at Soho House rather than the Intercontinental Hotel.
So either Stewart and Franco had an identical “chance meeting” at two separate locations, with a “source” allegedly overhearing the same details… or neither one happened.
It’s the latter.
As Gossip Cop reported on Sunday, Franco and Stewart never crossed paths in Toronto — period.
There was never a lengthy, flirtatious “meeting” that somehow — conveniently for both HollywoodLife and RadarOnline — (1) was eavesdropped upon but never photographed and (2) resulted in no actual date.
There is nothing to this alleged Stewart-Franco business.
A source close to Stewart tells Gossip Cop that she and the actor “never saw each other” in Toronto.
