TLC's new docudrama, Breaking Amish, follows four young Amish people and one Mennonite on their journey to New York City. The young men and women will trade their horses for taxis as they leave their homes for the first time to try out life in one of the biggest, greatest cities in the world.

But the decision to leave their families was not easy. Jeremiah, 32, who was adopted, decides to leave his girlfriend of two years to follow his dreams of going to NYC. "I've always wondered what it would be like if someone else had adopted me like an English person."
