Gabby Douglas appeared on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” on Monday (alongside First Lady Michelle Obama) to show off the gold medals that made the gymnast a national hero at the Olympics.

At one point, Douglas admitted that she celebrated her triumphs by indulging in an Egg McMuffin from McDonald’s.
“You’re setting me back, Gabby,” joked Obama, famous for her healthy eating initiative.
Douglas also discussed her “Flying Squirrel” nickname, meeting Kate Middleton and other highlights of the Olympic experience.
Mostly, the poised and personable 16-year-old showed why she was one of biggest American stars of the Games in London.
