Bachelor Pad Challenge Twist Leads To Surprising Save And Elimination!

RECAP

(ABC)

Monday’s “Bachelor Pad” kicked off with a twist: from now on, the contestants will be voting in pairs and eliminated in pairs.

In the challenge, the five remaining couples had to participate in… a spelling bee!

Each duo had to spell words in alternating letters, with three misspelled words eliminating them from the game.

New partners — and enemies to everyone else in the house — Chris and Sarah managed to outperform their competition, winning immunity.

That left a huge question as to who the remaining competitors, all in an alliance of sorts with each other, would vote off.

But first, Chris and Sarah, and challenge runners-up Ed and Jaclyn, both got to go on overnight dates.

Chris opened up to Sarah about his “heartbreaking” split with “Bachelorette” Emily Maynard, and admitted to being unsure whether he was over it.

But with Sarah “falling” for him, Chris said he’s feeling the same.

Ed and Jaclyn’s date didn’t go nearly as well, after he blindsided her with the news that he had been seriously seeing someone back home.

He went on to confess that even though they split before he left for the show, his feelings for her are still there.

That came as a shock, as Ed had been hooking up with Jaclyn throughout the competition.

The two managed to band together, however, when they had to give roses to another couple, thereby saving them from elimination.

They chose Tony and Blakely, much to the chagrin of the others.

At the pre-rose ceremony negotiations, Rachel, reeling from last week’s elimination of partner and love interest Michael, became a new target for elimination, along with her new partner Nick.

Others, however, set their sights on sending home blossoming couple Kalon and Lindzi.

So, which competitors were voted off?

SPOLER ALERT!

In the end, Kalon and Lindzi were eliminated.

The two still got a happy ending, however, leaving together in a limo.

“I can honestly say I’m really falling in love with you now,” Lindzi said as they exited.

Kalon replied, “I’m falling in love with you, too.”
