OK! reports that Justin Theroux proposed to Jennifer Aniston during their European vacation, but the actress “said no.”
The mag says Theroux asked Aniston “to spend the rest of her life with him” one night at the Hotel de Russie in Rome, but the Horrible Bosses star “turned him down!”
How come?
A supposed “insider” for the tabloid explains, “She feels like she only got the proposal because she pushed for it,” noting, “She doesn’t want a guy marrying her because he feels some sort of pressure.”
OK!’s so-called “source” goes on to claim while the couple was in Paris at the beginning of their trip, “Jen was expecting him to pop the question especially when they were at the Eiffel Tower,” and “when it didn’t happen Jen got upset, so they started bickering.”
But by the time the pair traveled to Rome, Theroux supposedly saw “he’d made a huge mistake by not realizing that Jen was expecting a proposal,” says the mag.

So, that night “Justin totally shocked her and proposed,” reveals the mag’s purported insider, who was apparently standing near the couple every second of their romantic two-person vacation.
The “source” goes on to claim Aniston started crying and “told him she loves him and wants to marry him, but she couldn’t say yes.”
“She wants everything to feel right, not rushed,” adds the alleged insider.
How bittersweet.
Of course, every single word of this story is completely made up.

After Aniston and Theroux returned from their European sojourn, the mag previously ran a story claiming the pair was fighting about Brad Pitt during the trip.
Absolutely nothing was mentioned in that past piece about a marriage proposal.
Now, a full week later, the tabloid comes up with this tale about a thwarted engagement attempt.
Anyway, regardless of the mag’s blatant inconsistencies, a source close to Theroux tells Gossip Cop the proposal tale is simply “false.”
