Savannah Guthrie is set to take over Ann Curry‘s spot as co-anchor of the “Today” show on Friday.
Guthrie, who is currently the co-host of the show’s third hour alongside Al Roker and Natalie Morales, was widely speculated to be Curry’s replacement.
Though no mention of the new line-up was made during Curry’s emotional departure on Thursday, a formal announcement could be made in the next few hours.
Matt Lauer, who will remain as the other “Today” co-anchor, will be on vacation next week, making it all the more likely that Guthrie’s official introduction will come on Friday.
