It was animals versus aliens at this weekend box office, with the animated sequel Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted taking the top spot with $59.4 million.
Coming in second was the extraterrestrial horror flick Prometheus with a take of $49.6 million.
And nabbing third was Snow White and the Huntsman with $22.9 million in ticket sales.
Fourth and fifth places went to Men in Black 3 and The Avengers with $14.2 million and $11.2 million, respectively.
Rounding out the Top 10 were The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel ($3.1 million), What to Expect When You’re Expecting ($2.7 million), Battleship ($2.3 million), The Dictator ($2 million) and Dark Shadows ($1.5 million).
